1999 Angeli Cuvée

Appellation: Alexander Valley
Owner/Winemaker: Chris Bilbro
Released September 1, 2002

The '99 Cuvée is a huge wine. Cooler years tend to allow these older vineyards, often un-irrigated, more time to slowly mature and send out these block-buster style wines. The nose on this wine is so packed it's currently hard to decipher the individual elements, but big spice, chocolate and ultra ripe black fruits certainly come to mind. The aromas are dense, deep and barely yielding their potential. The palate is totally saturated with ripe jammy fruits and fruit tannin. The taste lingers on and on. This is truly a memorable cuvée.
