2001 Petite Sirah
Appellation:
California
Owner/Winemaker: Chris Bilbro
The ’01 Petite Sirah is a
massive, gamey, brooding wine offering hints of white
pepper, spice and oak on the nose and earthy tannins
and blueberry fruit on the palate. Unquestionably
big and full bodied, this wine offers chewy yet refined
tannins that create a generous mouth feel and lingering
finish. This wine should age for a decade or more
but the delicate fruit and tannins make it surprisingly
approachable and enticing now.

Mendocino County

Sirah
